This is a place that wasn’t actually on our ‘things to do’ list but were very glad we stumbled across Ye Old Shambles Tavern. Basically it looks like a shop that sells bottled beers from the outside but step inside you realise it is much more. The front of the tavern is bar area which serves local cask ales. For licensing laws for every drink you are given complimentary cheese sandwiches and crisps. The back of the tavern is a more formal dining are which serves everything from Yorkshire. Yorkshire sausages and Yorkshire cheeses etc.
