This garden is absolutely free. The aroma is amazing at this time of the year. Simply head through the main gates, keep the ticket office on your left carry straight on, turn left and you can’t miss them. This is the perfect place to sit, read and relax.

Dine at the Petersham Nurseries near Richmond upon Thames

There is something very sophisticated about this upmarket garden centre. It boasts a Michelin star restaurant and high end tea house. Today we did not dine there but found it on a cycle along the tow path from Hampton Court. Hopefully we will be back!

We found this company to have an excellent choice and a far better range than the local general garden centres. They can give you names of people that will lay your concrete base and are reasonably priced. In our experience they were quite keen to offer discounts.
