5 Reasons to See Love Never Dies in Concert at the London Palladium This Weekend

London Theatre | Friday 16 – Sunday 18 October 2026

The Phantom is back. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies, the sequel to The Phantom of the Opera, plays five concert performances at the London Palladium this weekend, and rehearsal photos have just been released. Here are five reasons to go.

1. A stellar Phantom and Christine

Jamie Muscato plays the Phantom, with Celinde Schoenmaker as Christine. Schoenmaker is a favourite with West End audiences, having played Fantine in Les Misérables, so expect some soaring vocals.

2. A strong supporting cast

George Blagden plays Raoul, Mazz Murray is Madame Giry and Courtney Stapleton is Meg, with Holly James, Nic Greenshields and Charles Brunton as the Coney Island trio Fleck, Squelch and Gangle. Elliot Norrington plays young Gustave.

3. What happened next

Set ten years after the Phantom vanished from the Paris Opera House, the story finds him in New York, where his music finally soars. He lures Christine, her husband Raoul and their young son Gustave to America to perform one final time, reopening old wounds along the way.

4. Lloyd Webber’s lush score

The music is by Andrew Lloyd Webber, with lyrics by Glenn Slater and orchestrations by David Cullen and Lloyd Webber, including the much-loved title song. The concert is directed by Shaun Kerrison.

5. Perfect timing for Phantom fans

The concert arrives as The Phantom of the Opera celebrates 40 years at His Majesty’s Theatre, making this weekend a must for fans. With only five performances, tickets are likely to be limited.
