5 Reasons to See The League of Improv at the Phoenix Arts Club, With SNL UK’s George Fouracres

London Comedy | 21 October and 11 November 2026

No two nights are ever the same at The League of Improv, the critically acclaimed improvised comedy show at the Phoenix Arts Club in the West End. Here are five reasons to go.

1. George Fouracres returns

On Wednesday 11 November, SNL UK cast member George Fouracres makes a much-anticipated return after a hit debut in June. Time Out has called him “a major star in the making”, and he also stars in Flo & Joan’s award-winning One Man Musical.

2. A mystery guest on 21 October

The October show features a special guest still to be announced. Past guests have included Sindhu Vee, Marcus Brigstocke, Lou Sanders, Reuben Kaye and Shaparak Khorsandi, so expect someone good.

3. The audience inspires the show

Each night starts with a friendly chat between the guest and the audience. Your stories and observations then spark hilarious scenes, adventures and characters, created on the spot by improvisers from the London and Chicago comedy scenes.

4. Critics love it

West End Best Friend gave it four stars, saying it can stand toe to toe with any comedy show and leave you in hysterics. It’s built a loyal following over three years of monthly shows.

5. An intimate West End venue

The Phoenix Arts Club is a cosy basement bar beneath the Phoenix Theatre, perfect for close-up comedy. Tickets are £25, and shows are for over-18s.
