Ever wanted to be the action hero? Bad Day At The Office is a high-octane thriller shot entirely in first person, putting the audience right in the middle of the chaos. It stars John Hannah, Radha Mitchell, Tamer Hassan and Lana Parrilla, and arrives in UK and Irish cinemas on 30 October.

1. You’re the main character
The whole film was shot on GoPro cameras through the eyes of its characters, so every punch, chase and explosion is seen from inside the action. It feels like a cross between a thriller and a video game. Fans of Hardcore Henry, Crank and Call of Duty will feel right at home.
2. A gripping mystery
Karl wakes up in a wrecked hotel room with no memory of who he is, then finds a dead body in the bathtub, just as two police officers knock at the door. With a price on his head and half the city after him, he and hotel maid Molly must work out what happened before it’s too late.
3. John Hannah as you’ve never seen him
Best known for The Mummy and Four Weddings and a Funeral, John Hannah takes a turn as an unlikely action hero, following in the footsteps of stars like Liam Neeson and Bob Odenkirk.
4. Critics loved the chaos
The film opened the Midnight Madness strand at Edinburgh Film Festival for its world premiere. Sci-Fi Now gave it four stars, and critics have described it as relentless, violent, funny and completely chaotic. It’s rated 15 and runs for 111 minutes.
5. See it in 4DX or 3D
For the full experience, catch it in 4DX or 3D at select cinemas. Director Chee Keong Cheung, who also made the UK-Nigerian hit Son of the Soil, says he hopes audiences have as much fun on the ride as the cast and crew did making it.
