Twenty years ago, the nation picked up the phone and voted Lee Mead the winner of the BBC’s Any Dream Will Do. Now he’s heading back to the Adelphi Theatre, where he starred in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, for a special solo concert, Twenty Years in Technicolour, on Sunday 11 July 2027.

1. A full-circle homecoming
This is Lee returning to the stage where it all began, twenty years on. It’s a full-circle moment for him, for the theatre and for every fan who voted for him and has kept coming back ever since. He calls it the most personal night of his career.
2. The biggest West End hits
Expect the West End at full volume, with songs from Joseph, We Will Rock You, The Phantom of the Opera, Sister Act, Barnum and more from Lee’s career. His stage credits also include Fiyero in Wicked, Emmett in Legally Blonde and Billy Flynn in Chicago.
3. Songs from his musical heroes
Woven through the show tunes will be songs by George Michael, Tony Bennett and Bruno Mars, the artists who made Lee want to sing in the first place.
4. A live band and surprise guests
Lee will be joined by a live band and perhaps a few surprise guests, and he’ll share the stories behind the songs in the one room where they mean the most. Fans may also know him as Lofty in the BBC’s Casualty and Holby City, and his autobiography, The Colours of My Life, is out this September.
5. Just two performances
There are only two shows, at 2pm and 7pm on the same day, so tickets are likely to go fast. They go on sale on Friday 2 October.
