YTL Hotels has unveiled a series of new experiences across its luxury resorts in Malaysia for 2026 and 2027, ranging from a new all-inclusive option to yoga, opera, wildlife and wellness escapes.
1. Three Malaysian resorts now have an all-inclusive option
For the first time, guests at Pangkor Laut Resort, Tanjong Jara Resort and Gaya Island Resort can choose an all-inclusive package covering breakfast, lunch and dinner alongside selected activities. Depending on the resort, experiences can include jungle walks, conservation activities and opportunities to see turtle hatchings. The package costs RM300++ (around £55) above the Best Available Rate, with a minimum two-night stay.
2. Tanjong Jara Resort is hosting a three-day yoga retreat
The Sucimurni Retreat takes place from 16–18 October 2026, led by Joyce Shih. The programme combines Pilates, meditation, breathwork, quiet reflection and beach walks, alongside locally inspired food. Packages start from £450 per guest.
3. Opera in Paradise returns to Pangkor Laut
From 23–25 October 2026, Pangkor Laut Resort will host its unusual Opera in Paradise event against the backdrop of its ancient rainforest. Performers include Laura Wright, Clarissa Spata, Gaetano Bonfante and British baritone Sam Young. Packages start from £1,260.
4. Gaya Island is launching a wildlife and wellness escape
The new Gaya Wellness & Wonder Journey runs from 17–19 September 2027, combining Bornean healing traditions, spa rituals, mindful movement and marine and nature experiences. Rates start from MYR1,800+ (around £331) per Bayu Villa per night for two people, with a minimum two-night stay.
5. The experiences offer very different ways to explore Malaysia
The new programme ranges from private-island luxury and rainforest exploration to conservation, local food and traditional wellness practices, making the three resorts useful options for travellers looking for more than a straightforward beach holiday.
