This June, the Old Red Lion Theatre presents a fascinating double bill inspired by the life, love affairs and legacy of poet Philip Larkin. Running from 2–6 June, Almost Instinct Almost True and Labelled With Love explore the complicated relationships behind one of Britain’s most celebrated literary figures.
The productions centre around Monica Jones, Larkin’s long-time muse and lover, alongside the fallout from the poet’s controversial diaries and journals. Audiences can expect an evening of poignant storytelling, dark humour and emotional performances in one of London’s best-loved fringe theatre venues.
Performances take place at 3.30pm and 7.30pm, with the full double bill running for approximately 1 hour 40 minutes including an interval.
