One of the most talked about shows of the decade is heading back to the West End, and a second production is launching a major 33-week UK tour. Here are five things you need to know about Burlesque the Musical.
1. Burlesque the Musical is returning to the West End
Following a 100% sold-out, strictly limited season at the Savoy Theatre, Burlesque the Musical returns to London this summer, opening at the West End’s newest venue, The Arts at Marble Arch.
2. Previews begin in September 2026, with a gala press night later that month
West End previews begin on Saturday 12 September 2026, with the run booking through to Sunday 31 January 2027. The Gala Press Night is set for Wednesday 23 September.
3. It is based on the iconic film and features major hit songs
Based on the Golden Globe Best Picture nominated film starring Christina Aguilera and Cher, the stage musical is written by Steven Antin and features songs by Christina Aguilera, Sia, Diane Warren, Jess Folley and Todrick Hall.
4. A second production launches a huge 33-week UK tour
At the same time as the West End run, a second production will open a major UK tour, starting at New Victoria Theatre, Woking for two weeks from Saturday 25 July 2026, and continuing through 2026 and 2027.
