Emmerdale has dropped a bombshell: Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) is very much alive — and being held captive by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth). After Friday’s cliff-hanger reveal, fans finally know what really happened to Mack, but the big question remains: how long can he survive at John’s mercy?

While Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) believes her husband has gone to London, the truth is far darker. With the clock ticking and Mack isolated, the stakes have never been higher for the Dales.

Lawrence Robb teased what’s to come: “I’m glad the secret that Mack isn’t quite dead (yet) is over. I have felt slightly deceitful over the last two weeks when people have asked me about his death. Whilst I have enjoyed being somewhat of an enigma over that time, I’m really looking forward to seeing how the drama we shot is received on screen. Both Ollie and I really enjoyed shooting it, so hopefully the jeopardy of Mack’s position will keep the audience gripped!”

Expect tense stand-offs, desperate choices, and fallout across the village as the truth inches closer to the surface. Will Charity work it out in time? And what does John really want?
