1. Ghoulsmen opens with Rav Carvell, a young man from the small town of Pitt, at the end of a battle. He is ashamed of himself for having to kill people as it goes against Pitt’s sense of honour but knows it’s the only way to keep his home safe.
2. Pitt is located near a newly formed land called the Sink; a place known to hold incredible wealth but also horrifying monsters.
3. Rav fights as a member of the Ghoulsmen, a small band of townsmen who guard their home from enemy soldiers seeking to conscript those they catch as they venture into the Sink. Some of the Sink’s dangerous mutant monsters also roam Stone’s Way, the land around Pitt.
4. For their safety, Cyrn Carvell, Rav’s older brother, persuades the Ghoulsmen to leave Stone’s Way with Pitt’s citizens.
5. Rav discovers tracks from a new, far more terrifying mutant that could destroy Pitt, hastening the urgency to leave.
6. Rav sees visions of the new monster but is unsure what they mean.
7. A new army is spotted heading to Pitt, led by Champion Tibald Sar. Unable to directly fight against Tibald’s army, the Ghoulsmen are forced to negotiate with Tibald while they continue planning their escape.
8. Tibald mentions that he has a trade caravan arriving at Pitt in a week.
9. The Ghoulsmen split up. Rav and Cyrn return to Pitt to deal with Tibald, while the other Ghoulsmen guard the road into Pitt in-case Tibald’s army tries to ambush them.
10. Tibald works hard to endear himself to Pitt’s citizens, stating that he only wishes for the town to provide support for his army instead of supplying soldiers. However, Rav remains wary of Tibald’s true intentions.
11. As Rav rushes to gather provisions for everyone’s escape while keeping the plan secret from Tibald, he meets a new visitor to Pitt. A captivating woman named Lyra who claims to serve an entity known as the World.
12. Rav’s visions continue, connecting him to the new monster near his home.
13. During a tense mutant hunt alongside Tibald, Rav discovers that while Tibald isn’t interested in the rest of Pitt, he does want Cyrn, the Ghoulsmen’s strongest fighter, to join his army when they enter the Sink.
14. As Tibald continues persuading Pitt to trust him, Rav is shocked when Cyrn starts agreeing.
15. Cyrn reveals that he cannot leave Pitt soon due to personal circumstances, so he has decided to join Tibald for now in hope of keeping Pitt safe.
16. Tibald’s trade caravan fails to arrive. Tibald threatens to invade Pitt if Rav and Cyrn don’t recover it. Rav suspects there is much more at play.
17. Rav and Cyrn set back out into Stone’s Way to recover Tibald’s missing caravan, where monsters, armies, and something far deadlier await
