1. Visit this year’s Surrey Game and Country Fair – Sunday 23rd September at #Loseley Park #Surrey #Guildford

The 18th Surrey Game and Country Fair will be an action packed day out for the whole family, combining top class entertainment, have-a-go activities, shopping and rural crafts and local food and drink.

This year we are delighted to welcome some very special guests in the form of the famous Shetland Pony Grand National. This high-speed dash will be a blur of coloured silks and flying manes and tails as these fast and furious ponies and their brave young jockeys tackle their very own steeplechase course. Unmissable!

Rural pursuits are at the heart of the event with ferret racing and sheepdogs, the amazing Warrenby gun dogs, majestic birds of prey, terriers and a parade of hounds all performing throughout the day. Fly fishing lessons and demonstrations, a fun dog show with fantastic prizes and dog agility can also be found around the Fair ground. You can learn about bee keeping, wood working, spinning and weaving and other rural crafts. Back by popular demand are the beautiful Fuller’s Brewery horses giving dray rides in front of Loseley House, have-a-go archery (plus a medieval archery display) and the fabulous display of vintage tractors and cars.

Food lovers are in for a real treat this year with the Food Theatre complementing the ever expanding Food Hall. There will be expert demonstrations and delicious tastings. Local produce can also be found in the Surrey Farmers’ Market.

The Fair is the ideal place for some early Christmas shopping – or simply to treat yourself! You’ll find everything from unique pieces of jewellery and art to handmade leather goods. And the kids will have fun with the ever popular donkey rides, Sheep Show, Punch & Judy and model railway.

The Surrey Game and Country Fair will take place on Sunday 23rd September, between 9am and 5pm, in the stunning setting of Loseley Park near Guildford.
