5 things enjoys afternoon tea at The Ivy Cafe Marylebone

Located in one of London’s prime creative hotspots not too far away from the busy high street, on Marylebone lane is an all day brassiere, The Ivy cafe. It’s impressive Art Deco, French inspired theme transports you to a different time zone. With such a relaxing ambiance you can consume all of the surrounding details, such as the impressive array of framed art work on the walls. As well as the tiled mirrors, plus the over head music in the background. All of which combine to create such a sophisticated atmosphere. The Ivy Cafe serve breakfast, dinners, cocktails, wine and afternoon tea, which I had the pleasure of trying out so here are 5 things to do with the Afternoon Tea.

1.

Decide what tea you would like, with a choice of 6 different teas I decided to go with The Ivy afternoon tea blend, it was mellow, refreshing and comes in an elegant silver tea pot.

2.

When the savouries and sweets arrive be amazed! Then dive straight for the truffle chicken brioche roll.

3.

With all that sweet goodness staring at you it would be a tough choice to go savoury again. But do! The smoked salmon on the gluten free dark rye bread with cream cheese and chive is very tasty!

4.
Immerse yourself in the delicious display of all kinds of sweet goodness. The lemon and lime profiterole followed by raspberry cheesecake perhaps. Simply scrumptious!

5.

Whilst remembering to drink your pot of tea, conclude your afternoon tea experience with a warm fruited scone with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry preserve

With efficient service and a tranquil environment The Afternoon Tea at The Ivy Cafe in Marylebone is definitely one to experience.
