Sarah Harding gets ‘blown away’ as High Speed Selfie booth launches in Manchester

Sarah Harding takes on Virgin Media’s High Speed Selfie

Pop star and actress, Sarah Harding, has become the first person in the UK to trial a world-first High Speed Selfie photo booth experience, created by Virgin Media. The High Speed Selfie booth, which launches in Manchester today, has been created to mark the start of Virgin Media’s fibre broadband expansion across the UK, starting in Manchester. The booth will give visitors the unique opportunity to be photographed while feeling the full force of a 270mph wind machine, depicting the power of high speed broadband whilst giving the effect of g-force on their facial features. Today marks the start of Virgin Media’s roll-out of its £3 billion fibre broadband network expansion, which will bring high speed internet to four million more homes across the country over the next five years. Homeowners and businesses all over the UK can now express their interest in getting high speed internet by registering their details at virginmedia.com/cablemystreet. Sarah Harding said: “Being from the North-West myself, I was really excited to be involved in a project that brings better, faster internet access to Manchester, as well as the rest of the UK. Fast broadband is essential to me – I like to download music and catch up on TV shows when I get the chance, as I travel so much! “When I was asked to take part in the High Speed Selfie, I have to confess that I was a little nervous. But once I’d had a go, it was so much fun – I was literally blown away. I hope the people of Manchester enjoy the experience as much as I did – I can’t wait to see the pictures of everyone!”
